dc.description.abstractIn most of the components of electromechanical equipment has the characteristic noise listening or recording as an indication of a possible failure. The technical staff of a company used for the purpose of maintaining equipment and facilities under operating since by systematic inspection and correction of faults in development before they occur or before they develop into major defects is known as preventive maintenance. This maintenance process should include tests, measurements, adjustments and replacement of parts, specifically to the detention of failures where they occur, they are reflecting the cost and quality of manufactured items, mainly the security of the operators. Then the faults can be elucidated by the components´ noise generated by equipment in operation as a sign of failure. Here we present a methodology of the technique for preventive maintenance noise-based. This methodology usually consists in select some techniques and methods to reach the place and maybe fail just by the noise emitting by the equipment´s components in operation.es
