As a first task we plan to provide a definition of Artificial Intelligence. This is a very complex task. The term was coined in the Dartmouth Conference in 1956. Since then there have been proposed many different definitions, which have failed to unconditional acceptance of all research community. Fortunately, this situation is changing and, increasingly, AItechniques, in addition to acquiring formal basis commensurate with the needs of the subject are increasing to be "academic curiosity" with a great future but little application in the present, to pass being one of the engines that drive the computing industry, with growing investments year after year. AI is a new science that should go along way yet. Although we can be sure that the first steps are being promising.es
