Abstract

Distillation is defined as the basic operation where a mixture of liquids of different volatility, into its pure components is carried out. In most cases, in vertical cylindrical columns which provide a high number of stages and the processes of evaporation and condensation take place. To calculate the number of steps it is necessary to achieve yields, use the McCabe-Thiele method.
