Given the new demands of globalization in all aspects of our daily lives, the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo (UAEH) advances towards new challenges and commitments. For this, the UAEH has grown and improved in a variety of ways, for example, the professionalization of UAEH academic staff has been made; the teamwork and the active participation of the collegial bodies has been promoted; there has been much more support for students through tutoring; regulations has been updated; various academic programs have been formulated, implemented and evaluated (certification); structures have been modified and innovative policies are arranged, where it has been decided to take the pathway of the change controlled and responsible. In this regard, the quality of the education provided in the UAEH has been raised, allowing graduates to locate in a position of professional competence at regional, national and international levels. Likewise, the research has also been used as a lever for development of the institution, where the participation of teachers and undergraduate and graduate students has been promoted, engaging productively with other institutional sectors, through of academic bodies and the use of advanced technology available at the University.
The educational model of our university states that ... "Given the challenges facing higher education, it should be understood that the area where it will need locate the university is in the “universal society of knowledge”, constituted by the immense field of discovery and communication, which now flows without boundaries or limitations or restrictions on geographic location, time, language or culture." In this sense, in different and diverse university administrations, it has sought to do this communication of the scientific-academic tasks between our university community and the society. It is in this framework that begins a new project of universal communication, with the creation and publication of the “Mexican Journal of Medical Research". This project is now a reality. This effort to create this journal aims to maintain an image that projects and disseminate at local, national and international levels, the research of the community dedicated to education and health care in the Estado de Hidalgo, in our country and other global locations.
The Mexican Journal of Medical Research is the official medical research publication of the Área Académica de Medicina, Instituto de Ciencias de la Salud (ICSa) at the UAEH. The journal covers all the latest important developments in health sciences in the areas of experimental, clinical and epidemiological research. The Mexican Journal of Medical Research is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original research articles, review articles, and clinical cases in all areas of medical research.
The Mexican Journal of Medical Research publishes research in health areas supplied by experts of different disciplines. This includes manuscripts written or studies conducted by multidisciplinary teams. The journal covers a very wide range of areas, for example phytopharmacology, psychology, odontology, pedagogy, nutrition, nursing, statistical, laws and regulations, bioethics, genetic, thanatology, pharmacy, sport sciences, gerontology, physiotherapy, computer systems, nanotechnology, among others. The journal welcomes submission from researchers at all levels of health sciences and from all over the world.
The journal shall also cause to question, disagree, and think about everyday scientific academic work and will generate the motivation for participation in the various sections within it. The most important for our journal, will be your valuable participation, so we invite you to strengthen this joint effort, which will make it unique to the journal, so the function of the global scientific community would be more recognized and valued.
