Los estilos de aprendizaje son las características que cada persona necesita para adquirir nuevos conocimientos en diferentes entornos de aprendizaje, estas particularidades se pueden dividir en tres: cognitivo, es decir cómo los estudiantes procesan la información utilizando diferentes estrategias, lo afectivo implica las influencias emocionales en el aprendizaje y finalmente el fisiológico, como el nombre lo dice se relaciona con las necesidades básicas de los seres humanos.
De acuerdo con Honey Alonso (1994) hay cuatro tipos de estilos de aprendizaje: activo, pragmático, teórico y reflexivo, cada uno tiene una descripción detallada de sus características más importantes y sus actividades preferidas, el mapa tiene algunas estrategias de cómo el estudiante puede aprender mejor y al último sugerencias sobre cómo aumentar el nivel de cualquier estilo de aprendizaje, si es inferior a otros.
Es muy importante que los profesores conozcan el estilo de aprendizaje de sus alumnos para que ellos busquen estrategias específicas en función de su grupo.

Learning styles are the characteristics that each person needs to acquire new knowledge in different learning environments, these features can be divided into three: cognitive, that means how the students process the information using different strategies, the affective which involves the influences emotional in the learning and finally the physiological, as the name says it is related to the basic needs of human beings.
According to Honey Alonso there are four kinds of learning styles: active, pragmatic, theoretical and reflexive; each one has a detailed description about its most important features and their preferred activities, the map has some strategies of how the student can learn better and at the end the suggestions about how to increase the level of any learning style, if it is lower than others.
It is very important that teachers know the learning style of their students so that they look for specific strategies according to their group.
