Comprende temas de la unidad número uno de la materia de biología básica, donde se tratan temas como: Ciencia, la biología como ciencia, Aristóteles como padre de la biología, ramas de la biología, ciencias auxiliares de la biología y los conceptos de vida y muerte.
La ciencia se aborda desde su clasificación en ciencias formales y factuales; así como sus ejemplos. Aristóteles con todas sus aportaciones que inician el estudio de la bilogía y se le considera ciencia. En las ramas de la biología aquellas que estudian a los reinos y las ciencias auxiliares, aquellas que apoyan desde su disciplina el avance de la biología, y el significado de la vida y muerte de los organismos.
