Pulmonary tuberculosis today, affects 25 to 50 people per 100 000 inhabitants. It is a disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, a facultative bacillus, which transmission is trough inhalation, so it is important to take into account epidemiological data of the person concerned. This disease has a latency period of 4 to 8 weeks. Due to the infiltration of macrophages and polymorphonuclear cells can be generated necrotic lesions, resulting in the complex of Ranke an pulmonary calcifications in 6 to 15 months. Koch's bacillus is generally hosted in apical areas of the lung, where macroscopically, may form nodules or even caves, resulting in inflammatory infiltrate with Langhans cells, dense fibrous tissue and granulation tissue thus causing a collapsed lung parenchyma.es
