Worldwide studies in the last decade have measured the rate of cognitive decline in the elderly population, mainly in Australia, Europe, United States, and Canada. In Mexico, this information is very limited and the population of Hidalgo State has never been studied. Therefore, we decided to perform a transversal study to determine the rate of cognitive decline in this region. We will present an analysis in order to establish the main differences between rural and urban areas, as well as identifying the particular triggers of cognitive decline on each area.es
