Forensic Archaeology, Chemometrics and the Scientific Method

Keywords: forensic archaeology, technology, investigation, scientific methods

Abstract

Forensic technologies in recent years have increased their capacity which has allowed them to obtain better sensitivity and the strength of the investigative potential of forensic scientists who broaden the field and incorporate many technologies ranging from pattern recognition to chemical composition. and its analysis. Numerous fields within forensic science have developed considerably over the years, and new technologies have enabled new applications of forensic science. This work is a review that includes the techniques that are commonly used in forensic laboratories, the developments that take place in universities and other research organizations, which may become common in forensic science in the future. Advancement in digital forensics and the increased use of digital evidence in court requires ongoing training for judges and forensic scientists. This will ensure that they are familiar with existing and emerging technologies applicable in forensic investigations. Therefore, a proper understanding of the operation of the different forensic technologies is essential to help the effectiveness of the systems that wish to be implemented.
