Evidence of dielectric relaxations in Ca2 + doped BiFeO3 and its effect with temperatura
Abstract
Bismuth ferrite is a multiferroic material that presents multiple phenomena of dielectric relaxations that are characteristic at different temperatures, therefore it presents large values of relative permittivity, but the dielectric losses are large due to the leakage current that the inherent secondary phases induce due to Because BiFeO3 is an intermetallic compound and to inhibit them it is necessary to have a very precise control of the stoichiometry, and general synthesis parameters. Therefore, Ca2 + ions were used as a dopant to inhibit the secondary phases, increase the relative permittivity and reduce dielectric losses. Likewise, the activation energies of dielectric relaxations and their relationship with doping and the mixed valences that it induces were evaluated.
