Abstract

In the present work, the determination of elements of technological interest contained in spent batteries was carried out. The variables analyzed were: battery type and brand. To carry out the study, it was first necessary to dismantle each cell to separate the anode and cathode from their external elements, which were analyzed and characterized by induction coupled plasma spectroscopy (ICP) and X-ray diffraction (DR-). X). The results of the chemical analysis and characterization showed the presence of lithium and some other metallic elements, depending on the type of battery studied.
