Revisión del crecimiento poblacional humano y sus tendencias
Resumen
We are currently facing a complex environmental situation. Population growth is one of the most important topics, the production of resources has an arithmetic growth while population growth has a geometric growth, and this premise can lead us to the simple conclusion that in the future there will be a hunger crisis. The carrying capacity of planet Earth is calculated in relation to the human population and the resources that are finite; approximately the result of it is within an interval of 6,000 to 15,000 million inhabitants. Population projections for the year 2030 show a result of 8500 million inhabitants, which is alarming. One of the main strategies to follow to reduce the impact of the population on resources is to increase the carrying capacity with simple strategies such as implementing a cultural change in eating patterns, ceasing to centralize food in meat, wheat, rice, corn and soy.
