According to the new challenges that must be faced in the XXI century, the higher educational system (SES) must rise to this challenge, bringing about real transformation in innovation in order to look for new ways of develop its functions to achieve higher quality levels than those present. It is important to know the involvement of teachers in the educational process to be able of faced the challenge of higher education institutions of being at the forefront, taking into account that the teacher is the fundamental pillar of the educational process since he has a commitment whit his institution and the student trainees. The educational process requires committed teachers who strive for their updating, that break with traditional paradigms, teachers who support the innovation, who train students to enter into the labor market with the competences demanded by the institutions and teachers who meets to the social needs demanded by the nation.
