Efectividad de resinas infiltrantes sobre lesiones de caries no cavitadas en esmalte: Revisión bibliográfica

Resumen

El objetivo de esta revisión bibliográfica fue evaluar la eficacia de la infiltración de resina en las lesiones de caries no cavitada y las lesiones de mancha blanca post ortodoncia, a través de una búsqueda en la base de datos PubMed hasta el año 2020. Se seleccionaron 15 artículos científicos, de los cuales 5 analizaron la infiltración de resina en caries no cavitada y 10 en lesiones de manchas post ortodoncia; de los métodos de evaluación utilizados en los artículos seleccionados, 6 usaron espectrofotometría, 4 radiografías, 1 instrumento DiagnoDent, 3 fotografías intraorales y 1 histograma de escala de grises. Se comparó la infiltración de resina con placebo, barniz de flúor, selladores de fosetas y fisura, y se determinó que el uso de la infiltración de resina ICON puede detener de manera inmediata la progresión de la lesión cariosa.
