Abstract

Diseases and health problems are a phenomen on that affects people every where, not always in the same degree the same way though. Both of them are biological process older than humanity. As old as life it self since it is an attribute. Health and disease are expressions of changing relationships between various components of the body and the body it self and the environment in which it operates. As a biological phenomenon, the cause of the disease belongs to the realm of nature while in the human the disease has another dimension: social. Disease as pure nature is now here but is always mediated and modified by the social activity and cultural environment that creates it.
