Interactive statistical exploration platform for municipalities of the state of Mexico: access, loading and efficient visualization.

Abstract

This project focuses on the development of an interactive web platform designed to facilitate the access and exploration of statistical data related to the municipalities of the State of Mexico and its population, highlighting its connection to a database to ensure that the information displayed is the most recent. For the implementation, use is made of the "Flask" framework in Python that streamlines both the creation of the web page and the implementation of a login system that distinguishes between two user roles: administrative and regular. This ensures controlled access, allowing administrative users to upload data via Excel files, which simplifies the task of keeping data up to date. While the regular user can access only the main section of the platform, which allows them to visualize detailed data of the municipalities of the State of Mexico, presented in interactive graphics generated in real time with "Chart.js".
