Evaluación genotóxica de un novedoso nanohíbrido para la liberación de moléculas bioactivas
Resumen
En las últimas dos décadas, los nanomateriales híbridos orgánicos-inorgánicos han alcanzado un desarrollo intensivo. Sin embargo, antes de su posible aplicación, se requiere de una evaluación completa y adecuada tanto de sus propiedades fisicoquímicas y beneficios, como de los potenciales efectos tóxicos para la salud humana. El objetivo de este estudio fue determinar el potencial genotóxico in vivo de nanohíbridos diseñados a base de hidróxidos dobles laminares/ß-hidroxi-ß-metil butirato/colágeno (ZnAl/HMB/Col) tras una exposición oral aguda. El potencial genotóxico fue evaluado en ratas macho Sprague-Dawley (SD) de 9 semanas de edad tras 7 días continuos de exposición oral a los nanohíbridos, a una dosis de 2,000 mg/kg. No se observó una diferencia estadísticamente significativa entre el número de micronúcleos (MN) y la administración de los tratamientos sobre los valores del grupo control.
