Actividad catalítica de complejos de Paladio (II) con ligandos O,N,S tridentados
Resumen
En este trabajo se estudió el mecanismo de activación de un complejo neutro tridentado -N, -O, -S de paladio el cual presentó actividad catalítica hacia la polimerización de etileno. Se realizó una exploración de la superficie de energía potencial del proceso de activación del complejo para entender el origen de su actividad, utilizando la Teoría de los funcionales de la densidad (DFT) y se propuso un posible mecanismo de activación identificando los intermediarios y estados de transición. Los resultados de estos cálculos mostraron que la ruptura del enlace S-Pd para dar paso al complejo activado bidentado, es fácilmente realizable a temperaturas moderadas, por lo que el ligante empleado tiene potencial como punto de partida para sintetizar catalizadores neutros para la polimerización de olefinas.
