Corporate environmental responsibility, along with responsible innovation, must also consider the ethical ramifications of change and progress. Sustainability should be a universal priority, regardless of the size of organizations. The purpose of this study is to carry out a bibliometric analysis of scientific research on sustainable innovation in Mexico between 2003 and 2023, in order to understand the current situation of the topic. The study focuses on articles that explore innovative and sustainable strategies in Mexico, using data collected from Elsevier's Scopus, a database recognized worldwide for its extensive collection of academic works. The search was conducted in January 2024 and resulted in a total of 620 related documents. Over the past two decades, there has been growing interest in innovation and sustainable strategies in both business and scientific research. However, this interest is more notable in innovation than in sustainability, despite the crucial importance of the latter to ensure the sustainability of human activity without compromising future generations. Therefore, there is an urgent need to expand research in this area to address it more deeply and more frequently. This study offers an overview of research in sustainable strategies and innovation, contributing to strengthening the theoretical bases of the topic and offering a complete overview of scientific production in this field
