Simulation and Automation of a Robotic Cell

Abstract

The automation and linkage of manufacturing cells is seen more frequently in different industries, some examples of them are with machining carried out by numerical control and others where a robotic manipulator is used, some cases of them are the manufacturing industries of screws or assemblers automotive.

In this work the automation of a robotic cell is seen which has a robot with two degrees of freedom Cartesian type and two conveyor belts. The objective of this work is to assemble piece A on piece B, said pieces move through two conveyor belts and these are hindered when the assembly stage is carried out. The first chapter shows the development of the HMI and the configuration of the tags that are going to be used for programming the PLC. In the second chapter you see the electrical and pneumatic connections and the integration of other types of cards and in the third chapter you see the programming of the automaton. The work simulations are carried out in the "NEXT-GEN PLC TRAINING" environment and the use of the PLC version 8 logo, where a 3D simulation of the actual operation of the process can be seen.
