Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming increasingly important today due to its ability to automate and optimize a wide range of processes in different industries and fields on human development. It is important to mention that AI is considered as one of the multiple advanced digital tools or technologies promoted by Industry 4.0. There are several approaches and techniques used in the field of AI, including machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, robotics and general AI. In the present work, some basic concepts about this technology are disclosed, which in recent days has shown enormous development in various activities that can be applied both professionally and personally. Likewise, the main challenges that involve the use and exploitation of systems or technologies developed with AI are mentioned. In summary, AI is important today because it allows companies and organizations to automate processes, improve accuracy and efficiency in decision making, improve customer service, and reduce costs and environmental impact.
