Abstract

Ergonomics is a multidiscipline concerned with the adaptation of man's work. Its development is recent in our environment, there is a great need for professionals in the health area to incorporate ergonomic criteria in their activities, since in the modern world there is a set of pathologies that can be triggered or aggravated by work. In these cases, the treatments are not effective if the causes that generate them are not corrected. The article presents a conceptual vision of ergonomics, its objectives, and fields of action and physiological, psychological, biomechanical, environmental and organizational aspects that support it, highlighting its multidisciplinary nature. Its projections and its usefulness are also analysed both in the adaptation of traditional methods of work and in the technologies of the future.
