Hyperthyroidism
Abstract
Hyperthyroidism is a problem that affects the population around the world, without a doubt it is a disease that marks the lives of many people and what is worrying about this situation is that nobody realizes that they have this disease until it is already very advanced. and the problems are almost irremediable. Studies from different prestigious universities such as Harvard have discovered that 750 million people suffer from this disease and 60% of them are unaware that they have this disease. The disease called "serious" is the number 1 cause of hyperthyroidism in people with adequate iodine intake, another factor to consider is the clinical phenotype since it also shows a geographical variation since it was found that the most affected were young patients, for the same reason. It is important to emphasize that thyroid disorders can be diagnosed by a doctor and given the correct treatment for their control.
