Abstract

A number is the expression of a quantity in relation to its unit, this term is of Latin origin and makes reference to a sign or set of signs, where the theory of numbers grouped in these signs in different groups, that integrate the set of real numbers. Real numbers, usually written with the letter R, are composed of several groups of numbers such as: natural, rational, irrational, negative, positive. It is important to know the proper way to calculate the four basic operations, as well as to apply the properties that involve correctly.
