Abstract

Pulmonary pathology can be studied through pleuropulmonary syndromes; which are alterations that together constitute a group of signs and symptoms related to each other, with a common pathophysiology, these alterations can occur at the level of the pulmonary parenchyma, in the pleura and in the pleural cavity. The way in which these syndromes are classified is in pulmonars and pleurals, in turn, pleurals can even be subdivided into wet or exudative and dry or non-exudative, this essay is focused on reviewing non-exudative pulmonary syndromes: pachyipleuritis, pleurisy and pleural symphysis; since the medical literature in internationally recognized search engines lacks more and more of reports of these.

The lacking result of the search for information in the databases and the analysis of the few results, leads to discover that these syndromes are mentioned as secondary findings in other pathologies, and that despite being originally described as syndromes, its finding is scarce because different variants, since some have a self-limited course and the diagnosis is not possible due to the lack of evidence of them in complementary studies, or on the contrary, they are only evident when a radiographic study is carried out, so which strictly do not meet the criteria to be considered as syndromes.
