Abstract

Nursing care process (PAE) is a term applied in a system of nursing interventions for own health care of the individual family and community, involves the use of scientific method for identifying needs. The (PAE) consists in 5-step process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation, as in every method, its successive stages are interrelated. Although the study or analysis of each stage is independently, it has a methodological character because when the practice is being shown, any of them is stranger to the other, instead they are directly related, its implementation allows care integrity and it covers the user interests and needs for its own care. It is a flexible and adaptable method which is applicable in all kind of situations during the loss of health process or in its maintaining. Provides an intentional, systematic and organized approach of the practice, includes the identification of signs and symptoms to integrate its assessment, diagnosis of problems and needs, planning, and care management, as well as results evaluation.
