Extractos de Mentha piperita L. obtenidos por tecnologías hibridas
Resumen
Mentha piperita L. es una de las especies más demandadas a nivel mundial gracias a la presencia de propiedades de gran interés tales como: capacidad antioxidante, antifúngica y antibacterial. Existen diversas metodologías para la extracción de metabolitos secundarios, sin embargo, muchas de ellas resultan ser ineficientes ya que presentan tiempos de extracción considerables, bajos rendimientos y altos costos. En este trabajo se desarrolló una metodología de extracción hibrida mediante la asistencia de ultrasonido-microondas para la obtención de metabolitos secundarios de hojas secas de Mentha piperita L. Los resultados fueron comparados con técnicas convencionales de extracción, logrando destacar una reducción considerable del tiempo y un rendimiento de 23.58%, siendo este en promedio 7.56% mayor que los resultados obtenidos por técnicas convencionales. Además, mediante FTIR-ATR y HPLC-MS/ESI se identificaron compuestos orgánicos, tales como ácido cafeico, medioresinol, ácidos cafeoilquínicos, ácido rosmarínico y luteolina demostrando que la tecnología híbrida ultrasonido-microondas, es una alterativa viable para extraer compuestos de interés con excelentes rendimientos.
