Abstract

Ionic liquids have been studied since many years ago; through all those years, their synthesis, stability, handle, and usage have evolved due to the progress in technics and instrumentation in scientific research. Due to their specific physicochemical properties, these compounds have shown important applications that place them nowadays as an important object of study in areas such as chemistry and material science.
