Extended b–metric–preserving functions and other related metrics

Abstract

In this work, based on the concepts of ultrametric and extended b-metric, we introduce two new family of functions, those that preserve the weak ultrametric (UD) and those that preserve the extended b-metric (BE). Some of its properties are investigated and it is shown that the set of functions that preserve the ultrametric (U) is contained in the collection UD and this in turn in the space BE.
