Abstract

This paper presents the design proposal for a sustainable low-power electrical generator system. This, through the conversion of hydraulic energy obtained from transferring the total collection of rainwater (from rain) from containers located on the roof of homes/buildings to storage containers. Therefore, it seeks to provide a sustainable alternative to conventional methods fed directly and indirectly by fossil fuels. The proposal is made up of two main elements: 1.- Water harvesting system, and 2.- Hydraulic to electric energy conversion system. To validate and characterize the production capabilities of the system, an experimental methodology consisting of production tests using an equivalent experimental platform (with controlled conditions) was used. Also, the process of mathematical modeling, design and instrumentation proposal is described. Finally, a brief analysis and conclusions are provided from the results obtained.
