Implementation of Lean Manufacturing tools to minimize sweater order delivery time
Abstract
Lean manufacturing, also known as lean manufacturing, is a business management methodology and philosophy that seeks to improve the operations and activities of any production system. It is based on doing more with less effort, eliminating all types of waste or activities that do not generate value. The technique used in lean manufacturing is line balancing, which consists of assigning tasks in a balanced manner to workstations to minimize time. of machines and operators. The objective is to optimize effectiveness values and distribute tasks equally. The project focused on the reduction of workstations, the reduction of unnecessary use of workers who had leisure time for better use of each worker's time, resulting in an increase in the percentage of OEE, which led to the elimination of the main bottleneck in the first work area acceleration of the work pace of the entire line resulting in an increase in production from 511 garments to 1092.
