Application First-Order Linear Differential Equations to Mixtures

Keywords: Differential equation, engineering, mathematical models, design

Abstract

Differential equations have great application in the engineering field because their use as mathematical models of time-transient physical systems. Knowing the response of a physical system and being able to predict its behavior will facilitate the design of stable and reliable environments. The purpose of this paper is to analyse an application of the first order linear differential equations arises when studying a uniform mixing tank with constant volumetric flows and the concentration remains homogeneous in the tank. In the present study a equation to know the amount of solute mass present in the tank at any time was calculate.
