Importance of Dermatology

Abstract

Dermatology is a science that deals with the study of the skin and its annexes, that is, at the macroscopic level, while dermatopathology deals with the microscopic study of the same structures, these two fields are complementary and closely linked. The study of the skin is extremely important because it is the largest organ in the human body and is responsible for numerous physiological and immunological functions. There are various pathologies that affect the skin, for this reason, through semiology, anamnesis and laboratory studies, they help the doctor-dermatologist to achieve a successful diagnosis, treatment and prevention of dermatological diseases and thus carry out more medical research. The objective of this work is to present an infographic and through it to publicize the importance of dermatology as a medical specialty, to arrive at an analysis of the characteristics, concepts, functions and applications in medicine.
