Sociology of Organizations
Abstract
Sociology in organizations is the study of how social structures, interactions, and processes influence the functioning and behavior within an organizational environment. It examines factors such as organizational culture, hierarchy, leadership, communication, and interpersonal relationships that can impact the dynamics and performance of an organization. Similarly, sociology seeks to understand how individuals interact within a work environment and how these interactions affect both individual and collective performance, as well as the overall success of the organization. Additionally, sociology aims to comprehend the social structures, interactions, and processes that influence human behavior within the workplace; it not only proposes to analyse current complexities but also to anticipate and reflect on the transformations that will continue to shape organizations and their social interactions in the coming years. In other words, its goal is to address challenges such as workplace climate, communication, motivation, diversity, leadership, conflict resolution, and to enhance organizational efficiency for the benefit of all involved.
