Thermal machines
Abstract
In carrying out this work we will make known the importance of thermal machines, which usually require a fluid from which heat is transferred. Thermal machines need at least two heat sources at different temperatures, in these cases the machines work by taking heat from the hot source, which produces work and transfers heat to the cold source, while undergoing a thermodynamic cycle. The classification of thermal machines according to their type of system, either closed, which is implemented by volumetric machines, or open, which refers to turbomachines. The objective of the system used by thermal machines is to obtain mechanical work with the help of heat, so that the system is effective and efficient, taking advantage of the expansion of a gas that undergoes transformations of pressure, volume and temperature inside said machine.
