Abstract

Traditional medicine has proved to be an important aspect of people life. However their study from the social and cultural psychology has seen only a few results. The aim of this essay is to show the overall picture of health, medicine and traditional medicine as an approach to its study, so the relevance of this study stand out for their impact on health, based on an approximation of the behavior of people aimed at this type of medical practice and why people, despite having to reach health services official, attend this type of medical practices.
