Abstract

In this article called “Reverse ghost: the body as absence in La casa que arde de noche (Ricardo Garibay) and El fantasma de la libertad (Luis Buñuel)” I reflect about the traditional concept “ghost” and the possibility of adapting it to the current cultural dimension. The term “reverse ghost” is proposed to include a new case of disappearance related to the impossibility of see a present body. What do we understand with the term “ghost” and what could be understood with “reverse ghost”. Two questions that are answered with the analysis of the works mentioned above.
