Monocular 3D reconstruction of objects, using a camera on a drone

Abstract

This article presents the methodology used to obtain a 3D reconstruction of one or several objects of interest in an unknown environment by means of a monocular videoSLAM system processing the video signal produced by a monocular camera mounted on a drone. The implemented metodology is based on the use of free software focused on this type of cameras. Our results will be used to solve one of the challenges included in the Autonomous Drones Category of the Mexicain Robotic Tournement.
