Analysis of ergonomic risk factors of the “750 ml bottle packaging of a mexican distilling company” process

Abstract

The present research describes the analysis of the ergonomic factors that influence the low productivity performance in the 750 ml bottle packaging process line of a distilling company in Mexico, based on the Official Mexican Standard Nom-036. -1-STPS-2018, Ergonomic risk factors at work-identification, analysis, prevention and control. Part 1: Manual load handling.According to the statistical analysis of the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2021, musculoskeletal disorders comprise more than 150 disorders that affect the locomotor system, covering sudden and short-term disorders, such as fractures, sprains and strains to diseases chronic conditions that cause limitations in functional abilities and permanent disability. According to the global burden of disease data analysis, approximately 1.71 billion people worldwide have such disorders; varies depending on age and diagnosis.In this article, the prevalence of musculoskeletal injuries related to the activity carried out in the case study will be analyzed, and the most important risk factors will also be identified and evaluated, all with the aim of improving health and safety conditions in work, thus obtaining good control over the benefits in the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders, in addition to avoiding social, physical, psychological and mental damage in the work disorder.
