Disinfection Of Dental Impressions
Abstract
Disinfection consists of the selective destruction of microorganisms. One route of cross infection in dental impression, which carry microorganisms present from oral tissues, which can become pathogens. These germs remain viable after running the plaster model for least 24 hours. The objective of this dissemination article is to synthesize scientific knowledge regarding the optimal disinfection protocol for the main printing materials to avoid cross contamination.
