Abstract

Mexico is a country that has suffered from poverty throughout its history for various reasons, and this has impacted their health and economic capacity, also has been displaced life expectancy at birth, epidemiological and nutritional transition and that the number of families with poor life style and quality increased. Objective. Determine the social and health Tetepango, Hidalgo economic status. Material and methods. descriptive study using 400 surveys to the population of the municipality of Tetepango was performed. Results. 32.7% of people have insurance popular, it occupies the highest percentage in terms of health services, the weekly salary is 500-1500 pesos, poor organization of health campaigns with 37%, 72.5% confirms poor care the health center, 89% said no investment in health services. Conclusion. Tetepango presents deficiencies health institutions, poor quality of services, poor social organization, styles and quality of life.
