Importance of strategic planning in the Educational Management Model
Abstract
Strategic planning as a continuous and systematic process of analysis and dialogue between those who run an Educational Institution is fundamental because it responds to the achievement of the Mission which are the fundamental purposes that are intended to be met, determining what changes to make and how to carry them out, it has great importance By directing the actions that are key to achieving the results, overcoming resistances and uncertainties. When permanent and participatory strategic planning is carried out, the planner becomes a facilitator. According to author Caldera, (2004), he mentions that the plan represents the documentary concretion of the set of explicit and congruent decisions to assign time, resources and strategies in the achievement of the purposes established by the Educational Institution. It is important to consider in terms of planning that the (be) considers what is intended to transform and plan (do) what is intended to be specified and documented. The success of school strategic management is to identify what the plans are, their validity in time, the administrative principles that guide the decision making, the types of strategic, tactical or operational planning, considering that planning is essential to define the course that allows to direct and take better advantage of the efforts and resources avoiding entropy in the Educational Institutions.
