Abstract

The critical thinking is the ability of each person to focus thinking in order to get the needed results, this define whether you have success or failure in your perform, therefore it is important to use approaches based on the evidence, to improve even more in the critical thinking field. The professional nursing makes use of that critical thinking during the contact they sustain with the patients thus the improvement of care quality that they provide. The book of critical thinking and clinical judgment in nursing has to be read by students of nursing and professional staff, the student to gain confidence and competence in the decision-making about the patient´s care, and the professional to search strategies or tools to work together and promote critical thinking. The organization of the book is made thinking in a quickly way of develop thinking skills for the nurse, the content is both broad and deep, and is therefore useful as a guide in the development of courses and workshops. It contains mental maps, indicators of critical thinking, includes information from the American Nurses Association (ANA), and the use of the predictive model in the process of Nursing Care (PAE).
