Use of CAX in Industrial Design-Engineering and its Impact on Industry 4.0

Keywords: CAx, Design, Engineering, Industrial, Industry 4.0

Abstract

In this research work, the main technological tools that make up the CAX are disclosed, according to their acronym in English, better known as Computer Aided, where “X” stands for Technology, Design, Manufacturing, Engineering etc. Although certainly many of the published works mention that CAX are made up of at least the following three acronyms: CAD / CAE / CAM. It is important to note that there are various tools and /or technologies that can be combined with each other, which will undoubtedly depend on the discipline or area of knowledge, where they wish to apply, being in this particular case on Industrial Design and Industrial Engineering It also depends on the project to be developed, which can be a product and /or process. And what is the impact it currently has on Industry 4.0.
