Abstract

This research report sets out the result of a historical study, which attends to explore religious reasons that support the practice of violent assassination rites and how these are articulated with forms of state control as well as with regulation of economical activities of the social group in these sacrifices; thus establishing how it is explained by its own logical indigenous cosmovision. All this is drawn from the concrete case of infant sacrifices and young males carried out at the Canute de Chichen Itzá.
