Social Skills in Children of Fifth and Sixth Grade of Elementary School from Pachuca, Hidalgo.

Abstract

Social skills are essential for healthy interpersonal relationships, so it is important these can be acquired in early stage of life. This paper describes the investigation was realized in a sample N= 104 students with an age M= 10.39 years old of the fifth and sixth grade of a public elementary school in Pachuca de Soto, Hidalgo, México. The aim was to identify the social skills was used for these children, for which, the Chávez’s Escala de Habilidades Sociales para Niños (EHSN)  was applied. The results showed statistically significant differences between men and women because of the gender’s roles and stereotypes.
