Abstract
The aim of this study was to determine the effect of an exercise routine in obese children through an exercise program for 12 weeks on anthropometric parameters in obese children. Method: The sample consisted of thirty children aged between 6 and 11 years, who conducted a program of physical exercise daily 30-minute sessions with the support of parents. Carried out an assessment anthropometric, assessing the following parameters: height, weight, body mass index (BMI). For analysis of the results used descriptive statistics of arithmetic mean and standard deviation. Results: Following the intervention, changes were observed on weight and BMI minimally decreasing, given that you have to make a further assessment of three to six months of the program, since interventions generate positive benefits in obese children and mainly involving of parents.
