Abstract

When making a dental care, you should pay attention to comply with all the rules concerning to Biosafety Dental. So, how the professional and the patient must be protected against any infection. Often the operator doesn´t follow the rigorous action mentioned is who drags microorganisms on the hands to the mouth and the patient's body, which are called "cross-infection". The danger that exist in the environment can cause damage to both the health as of the operator as the patient, so it is recommended to take preventive measures to prevent transmission, same as can occur through blood, respiratory secretions and oral patient and assistant, and professionals and these patients and between patients. The surgery should not cause or pathway of infection for the patient so they must take into account a series of preventive standards both professionals, patients and equipment (instruments, furniture, utensils). The use of protective barriers for clinical care, such as aseptic techniques, and procedures for sterilization and disinfection of instruments, will be taken into account as there is a variety of easily transmissible microorganisms, like Hepatitis B, HIV, syphilis, etc.

A patient with a history of any type of viral hepatitis, particularly type B, forces to dental clinician to investigate three key aspects:
