Resumen
Dado que las dosis de medicamentos y el tamaño del equipo varían según el peso del paciente, estimar con precisión el peso de los pacientes en el departamento de emergencias pediátricas es crucial para optimizar la atención médica. A menudo, los niños críticamente enfermos no pueden pesarse de manera segura en el departamento de emergencias. Si bien se han desarrollado varios métodos diferentes para estimar el peso, una herramienta validada para estimar rápidamente el peso del paciente es la cinta Broselow.
