Transversalidad: el curso histórico de lo valorado en la educación de los mexicanos

Abstract

Magisterial conference presented to the area "humanities and arts" at the National Preparatory School (National Autonomous University of Mexico) on June 10, 2014 under the First Interdisciplinary Meeting: "Transversality: A proposal for curriculum innovation". There were exposed two main ideas: valuating before educating and (2) the configuration of attitudes in Mexican education, which were the result of a meticulous documentary research on the Mexican educational system. The conclusion was exposed as a third section called remaining challenges in education. Here it was emphasized the convenience of including transversal themes in the curriculum and the artistic education has been visualized as the ideal space for implementing these themes.
